You've only gotten better! More vibrant, more knowledgeable, more, more... I'm sorry. We haven't spent nearly enough time together. No, we are not drifting apart, how could you say that? It's just, you know, I've been busy with other things, and you've demanded more and more thought and care. OK, I didn't mean demanded. Forget I said that...

New Years Resolutions Version 6.0

Ah, the end of the year, who would have thought you'd appear so soon? With life ramping up and changing its workload, I'd like to take this opportunity to thank each and every one of you who have read one of our posts this year. Hopefully, each one has been informative and entertaining - the old adage of quality over quantity should ring true this year. I honestly don't know what the future holds, but this blog should be there, in some capacity, for years to come.

5th Birthday

Half a decade. When this blog was started, way back in 2013, Grand Theft Auto V was starting its hype train. The Last of Us and Frozen were unknown quantities, and my average review was around 200 words. The blog was called Games Reviews and Other Stuff, I had just picked my GCSE choices and Pokémon had just transitioned to the 3DS. A lot has changed in this time, but guess what? We're still here! *party poppers*

New Year's Resolutions Version 5.0

What do you mean it's the end of the year already? I swear we just started... In any case, both the blog and YouTube have kept up their steady pace, with the blog breaking 100,000 views last month (November was also our best month with over 3500 views!) and YouTube nearly breaking 30,000. We also finally finished the Life is Strange let's play series and reviewed Warframe, both a long time coming! With the new year, comes new TV, with the UK finally getting access to the US's Fall season (without the mid-season break) and plenty of more reviews! Thank you to all who have read, shared and contributed to GamesAppsandReviews - it means so much to us and allows us to keep doing what we're doing! A perhaps more tumultuous year approaches, with some of the team going to university etc. but have no fear - we will continue!

4th Birthday

Whoops. I seem to have slept in and missed the birthday. I blame British Summer Time. So, four years?! And I still haven't met the blog's parents.

New Year's Resolutions Version 4.0

Well, what a year eh? If you base this year just on the news, it's not been the best, has it? You could say that's been reflected by the blog and YouTube channel, with a dip in content due to exams, and other commitments, however, both the blog and YouTube channel are growing and that's all due to you guys, the readers and our incredible writers, including some guest ones this year. The year has also seen us reach over 80,000 views on the blog, over 27,000 views on the YouTube channel, more reviews than ever, including the launch of our TV reviews and even a new layout to the blog (resolution completed).

3rd Birthday

Wait? What do you mean this blog is 3 years old? It's only been here for two months right? That can't be right... *checks calendar* Hm... *Faints*

What an incredible year this has been!

New Year's Resolutions Version 3.0

The year is done, so now onto the yearly resolutions about things that were promised in 2013, started in 2014, had a break in 2015 and now should be nearly finished, maybe, in 2016! In all seriousness, the blog and YouTube have had great years and it is all thanks to you guys! With (at the time of writing) an amazing 61,894 views, 427 posts, 119 game reviews, 95 app reviews, 82 first impressions, 2 film reviews for the blog and 76 subscribers, 17,142 views, 139 videos, 7 videos with over 100 views, 1 video with over 10,000 views and 17 playlists for the YouTube channel. Also some 'even more tired than last year' writers!

50,000 Views Extravanganza!

We've done it guys and gals! We've made it to this amazing milestone of 50,000 views! From our humble beginnings of the 100 view milestone to our first birthday and 25,000 views to our second. And now this. We are halfway to 100,000 views everyone! That is a very big number. Thank you to all of you for reading, commenting and sharing this humble little blog and allowing it to grow and flourish. And now, onto the new/returning/the-ones-we-said-we-were-going-to-do-but-never-did features!

2nd Birthday

26th March 2015: the blog's calendar reads. Two words are shown, scribbled hastily on with black pen. 2nd BIRTHDAY. I check the date. 24th March. Two days until the blog's birthday. It finally sinks in. The blog is TWO! Two years old! My word, have we had quite a year...

New Year's Resolutions Version 2.0

The time has come again for us to say goodbye to another incredible year for the blog and YouTube. With (at the time of writing) an amazing 34,564 views, 291 posts, 100 games reviews, 76 app reviews, 2 posts with over 2000 views each and some very tired, but happy writers with 1 post a day (bar Christmas and Boxing Day) for the month of December. We've had writers leave, join, return and each have written superb posts for the blog.

25,000 Views Extravaganza! *faints*

OMG! (Oh My Games) we did it guys! Mario, Master Chief, Kratos, Gordon Freeman, Pac-Man and Red the Bird (we serve all here) have left the building! Jokes and clichés aside thanks to everyone for helping us get to this all-important mile stone (1/4 to 100,000). From the writers who work tirelessly (they say) to get the reviews to the readers who read and respond to all these posts (it's the circle of gaming) thank you. And with all the cheesiness out of the way, next comes the stats:

1st Birthday

We made it. Today (the 26th of March) is the blog's 1st birthday and boy has it grown from last year. Last year we had one author (me!) who was doing a few short reviews (although they were more like short overviews of reviews) about the games I liked. There was also a console review and a bit of news. Then it changed into just strong points and weak points for quick and easy reviews. Finally, the reviewing system changed into what it is today, strong points and weak points for readers who want to know about the game at a glance and an in-depth review for people who want to know more.

10,000 Views Extravaganza!

This is just amazing, outstanding, superb, brilliant, great, excellent, terrific and any other adjective which shows just how great you all are. Thanks guys for this opportunity to write for you and for the comments and advice you have given all of us to make this blog flourish. You guys are all really great and we couldn't have done it without you. Let's try and get to a million!

New Year's Resolutions

We've come a long way this year, haven't we? With (at the time of writing) 160 posts and 8916 views from all across the world, it really has been a good year. Thanks to everyone who read, shared and commented on the blog who without, this blog would still be stuck on 100 views! Thanks to the game companies who have put out some really good games this year so that we have enough material to write about. Thanks to anyone who has put blogs link up on their own blog (retrocosm.net), so we can get just a few more views. And finally, thanks to the writers of this blog as, without their smart ideas about walkthroughs, Top 5's, YouTube, app reviews etc., this blog would be so much less. With all the cheesy stuff out of the way, here are some things you can look forward to next year:
