This game is a masterpiece of the adventure genre. Not only did it re instil the sense of wonder the original game gave us but improved upon it with easier controls, balanced gameplay and 3D graphics. You play as a young Link setting out on an adventure to save Princess Zelda. The item which this game is made around is the Ocarina which allows link to play songs which help you on your quest. This adds a new depth to the game and along with the ability to travel backwards and forwards in time this game is a real challenge.

You travel along the normal linear path travelling from temple to temple unlocking new items as you progress. However, there are a lot of side quests which unlock more items and songs which you can use. The temples are fun but difficult and will leave you puzzling for ages and sometimes, in the case of the water temple, shouting in frustration! It takes a little while to start and running takes ages (it's easier to run backwards!) The storyline is all right and the entire games playtime is over 20 hours easily.

Rating: 98%

See Ya,
Martin
