Top 5 - Harry's Favourite Games 2013

For the blogs first birthday, I have decided to do a top five of my favourite games from last year. And due to the sheer amount of great games released last year, it has been very hard. Anyway, enjoy!

5 - Wonderful 101: this is a great game that tests the limits of your skills as a gamer and rewards you for adapting. Bearing in mind the normal mode of the game is harder than most 'hardest' modes of other games, you really have to be concentrating to be good at it. And yet, Platinum manage to keep it fun with a cheesy storyline and graphics as well as a risk and reward style of play. I am really enjoying this game and its pushing my skills to the limits. I can't wait to play more! Check out the review for more.

4 - Animal Crossing New Leaf: this game has eaten into my life as I have tried to keep my humanoid animal villagers happy and so makes it onto this list for the amount of time I've spent on it. But this isn't the only reason. New Leaf is the most polished of the Animal Crossing games and also contains the game changing mechanic of being able to be the mayor of your town! This lets you call the shots and gives you a lot more things to do. Check out the review and walkthrough for more.
And:
Pokémon Mystery Dungeons Gates to Infinity: I have added this to my top five (making it more of a top six) as, after looking back at it, I remembered just how good the game was. If I look past what they missed out (namely hunger and more Pokémon) I can see what they included such as a brilliant and rather deep story, great graphics and base building. Check out the review for more.

3 - Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix: I have been looking forward to this game for ages, due to it containing one of my favourite games of all time (Kingdom Hearts 1) as well as Chain of Memories which I have never had the chance to play and a cinematic version of 358 Days/2 which I'm really looking forward to watching. Thank you Square Enix and I can't wait to play 2.5 and 3!

2 - Pokémon Y: normally, Pokémon would have been at the top of my top five and it still would have been if my number one hadn't been released. This game adds many more mechanics and monsters to my favourite gaming series, as well as 3D graphics and diagonal movement which I have been waiting a very long time to see, and I still see myself playing it for many more hours to come. Check out the review for more.

1 - Fire Emblem Awakening: I was quite surprised by this game as, while I had enjoyed the Sacred Stones from the 3DS Ambassador Program, I had never played any of the other games in the series. I certainly didn't expect it to be my favourite game of last year. However, I was drawn in by the in-depth gameplay mechanics and the, frankly amazing, storyline that had me going all the way to the end and then on. Check out the review to see more.

Goodbye for now, Harry

    1. I think that Villager was a great choice Smash Bros, play the demo (or the game in a week) to find out why.
