Top 5: Games That Just Need to be Released Already!

In a world of constant re-releases and sequels, these games seem destined to be released soon right? Wrong, it seems, due to a variety of reasons from development hell to 'lack of demand'. Well, I believe there's still some hope of these games being released soon and so without further ado, here are my top 5 games which just need to be released already!

5: The Last of Us 2
I was stunned when this was announced a couple of weeks ago, and why wouldn't I be, Naughty Dog had been steadfast in their views of not releasing the game until the time was right and at least not until after Uncharted 4 concluded that series. So when we got a trailer showing a grown up Ellie and some... interesting visual themes, I've got to say I was really intrigued. It will be especially interesting to see how Naughty Dog use their knowledge with the PS4 (The Last of Us: Remastered Edition was more of a training exercise), so if they could just go ahead and release it already! I'm Infected with hype!

4: The Elder Scrolls 6
Skyrim is one of those games which pretty much anyone can say is amazing. The world, the gameplay, the graphics (especially with the new Special Edition) and with the amount of content available, there's still a lot of life in the old game. However, a new game with a new engine would be awesome, hopefully fixing the shortcomings of the Bethesda open-world giants, namely more fluid animations and fewer bugs! We've all been Shouting at Bethesda to give us some indication of returning to Tamriel.

3: Super Mario Galaxy 3
The first two games were classics in originality and a third game in the series could help revitalise Nintendo's consoles. To be honest, any new 3D Mario game would be great, but Galaxy 3 would be the star of the metaphorical show. Maybe on the Switch?

2: Kingdom Hearts 3
Now, it's not really the third game in the series (anyone who counts the handheld games as spin-offs are seriously missing out on the bigger storyline) but what it is is a really, really hyped up game. Officially announced to be in development way back in 2013, the slow dribble of information has been maddening but what we do have looks great, especially for long-running fans of the series. Their Dearly Beloved game is looking closer to being released as well, especially with Final Fantasy XV finally being released.

1: Half-Life 3
Was there really any doubt this would be number 1? The reputation of a game which hasn't even been announced yet is huge and I'd love to see it released if only to allow rest to some of the gaming community who has been searching for clues for a decade or so. Of course, we'll have to get past the fact that Valve and the number 3 just don't get along, but I believe that with the right amount of wishful thinking and changing physics, we can get Freeman to wake up and smell the ashes.

Thanks for reading, Satamer.
