Video Game Character of the Month

Overview
What do I think of Steve, the genderless cube person with a male name? Well I suppose the answer is that, I'm not really sure. You could suppose that a character who can change his/ her/ it's skin has no personality or feeling and so shouldn't be awarded the coveted title of Video Game Character of the Month. Well, I am afraid that you would be, at least, partly, wrong, as will be covered in the following paragraphs.
A quick bit of info on Steve:
He is the person that the player (of Minecraft) controls
He appears to be very strong: being able to carry a small mountain while punching other mountains to dust with his bare hands
He is good at jumping: as he can jump one metre high, easily
Apparently, he has control of some sort of hyperspace (or very deep pockets) as nothing he carries (accept for one thing in his hand) ever shows up
It is not known how Steve has ended up where he is or what he was like before he ended up there
The Origin of Steve
The Player or Steve was created to be a generic (and genderless) human being. This point, however, is proven wrong straight away due to three facts. 1: his appearance is obviously male. 2: his name is Steve for goodness sake! 3: I don't know anyone who can carry 45,000 metric tonnes of gold in his pocket without someone seeing it. Oh, and I forgot one more point; 4: he's made of cubes.
He has tanned skin and dark brown hair and indigo eyes. His t-shirt is cyan and is untucked at the left-hand side and the back while his trousers are indigo. I don't know who Notch based his generic human on but it definitely wasn't anyone I've met.
His name is probably the best part about his creation and is one of an almost mistake. Once, when Notch was asked about the name of the Player he replied, umm Steve. Therefore, Steve was born and made male.
The Evolution of Steve
Steve can evolve in any way you want him to, especially considering the fact that you can change his skin and gender. He can be a cruel dictator or a little flower picking school girl if you want. Or he could just be Steve.

Overall, I think that Steve is an... interesting character and one who defines the essence of Minecraft completely: makes absolutely no sense and is changeable in every way. If you know anything I've missed or want to see a character entered for this award, then please don't hesitate to comment.
Goodbye for now, Harry
