The Doodler
Doodle Jump
Doodle Jump
Overview:
Why do you jump? This was a question asked to The Doodler one day. His response was simple: a quick pellet to the face and up some more platforms. He still declines to talk about his jumping obsession and I have simply given up asking him (what?! A pellet to the face really hurts, you know!) Anyway, here's a quick bit of information about The Doodler:
He has four legs
He is yellow and green in colour (in his normal form)
He has many different forms
He dislikes monsters
He likes shooting monsters with pellets
The pellets come from his nose and also vary in type
He likes to fly using rockets, jet packs and even propeller hats!
He adores jumping
Origin of The Doodler:
The inspiration of what The Doodler (and the other characters of Doodle Jump) look like came from the illustrations of Elise Gravel (author of How do you Doodle?) while the inspiration of the gameplay came from the game PapiJump (by Sunflat Games). As for why The Doodler came about, in terms of the lore of the game, I'm afraid that I (and I doubt anyone) knows and I'm not going to risk another pellet to the face in order to find out (well, if you want to know that badly, why don't you ask him?).
Evolution of The Doodler:
Over the course of various updates to the game, The Doodler (and his pellets) have changed into many forms. He has become an Eskimo, a ghost, a footballer and even Santa himself. And, you know what I want for Christmas? To find out why The Doodler jumps and where he's jumping to and to not get hit by another pellet. Anyway, The Doodler's form can also be changed by typing in a certain name into the high scores name. These include E.B. (which changes The Doodler into E.B. from Hop) and names of the Pygmies from Pocket God (which changes The Doodler into the named Pygmy.) Finally, The Doodler has developed a fond love of jet pack racing which leads me on to my last question: why is he jet packing?

That's all on The Doodler but if I've missed anything or made a mistake then please don't hesitate to comment. And, as always, if you can think of anyone who should win the award on a future month then please comment as well. Finally, if anyone can figure out why The Doodler is jumping (or jet packing for that matter) then please comment (if you can get past The Doodler's pellets, that is).
Goodbye for now, Harry
