Top 5 - Nintendo Home Consoles

This Top 5 is all about Nintendo and the great home consoles they have made and revolutionised gaming with. Enjoy.

5: Wii U - While this console hasn't gotten off to the best of starts, I personally think it is still a great console and has massive potential. The line-up of games coming out soon is great and I can't wait to see what the future holds. While it may not live up to the PS4 or Xbox One in terms of graphics and power it beats them in creativity for its games as that is what Nintendo does best.

4: GameCube - While this video game console may not have revolutionised the way we play games and didn't do that well commercially - worst selling Nintendo console after the Wii U (Nintnedo's newest console) and the Virtual Boy (let's not go there) - it did bring some amazing games to the gaming market in the form of Super Mario Sunshine, Pikmin 1 and 2, Resident Evil, Animal Crossing and more. This console should not be left forgotten.

3: N64 -  It was a close call between GameCube and N64 for this spot as they both had some amazing games. However, this inched just a bit ahead as it introduced the first 3D Mario game ever, actually the first Nintendo game in 3D ever. While it only performed marginally better than the GameCube commercially, this console had a lot of great games on it including: Super Mario 64, Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, Goldeneye 007 and Super Smash Bros. This console changed gaming like so many of Nintendo's consoles, forever

2: NES - this console pretty much saved video games. After the video game crash of 1983 Nintendo appeared from the ashes of Atari and came out with their second best-selling console. With games like Super Mario Bros (second best-selling game ever) and Donkey Kong. This console put the magic back into video games.

1: Wii - code-named Revolution this console certainly was. The Wii invented its own genre of people 'casual gamers' to come and play its games and invited people to get up and get active with games like Wii Sports (best-selling game ever) and Wii Fit. It is the highest selling Nintendo home console and is only beaten by the PS2. This was a console that everyone had and changed the way we game for ever. Thank you, Nintendo!

Thanks for reading, Satamer.
