Video Game Character of the Month - September 2016 - Newton Bill - Hill Climb Racing

Video Game Character of the Month
September 2016
Newton Bill
Hill Climb Racing

Overview:
Newton Bill is a young uphill racer who wants to be the very best (like no one ever was. To catch them is my real test to... ahem, sorry, I got a bit carried away there) and is prepared to master all matter of vehicles from a Jeep to a Tank to a Sleigh and throw himself into a great variety of deadly environments from the Countryside to the Moon to Ragnarok itself just to achieve his dream. And yet no matter how many Neck Flips, Insane Air Times and Levels he completes, his dream is always just that little bit further ahead and just that little bit further away than his fuel supply allows. So, we here at GamesAppsAndReviews have decided to give him another award to keep him going - the prestigious Video Game Character of the Month award!
And now for a bit of information on Newton Bill:

He is an aspiring uphill racer
He can recover from a broken neck relatively easily
His world contains strange floating coins/fuel and a ridiculous amount of hills
He is paid for doing flips (front, back and the very dangerous, and lucrative, 'neck' variety), staying in the air for extended periods of time and for covering certain amounts of distances in various environments as well as for watching videos (for some reason)
He uses this money to buy new vehicles, upgrade his current ones and to buy passes to new areas to race over (although he strangely never feels the need to invest in a roof or roll cage - which, considering the amount of times he has broken his neck by flipping over, would certainly be on my list of priorities)
He can drive 29 different vehicles across 28 different environments
He appears to be the only creature in his world which begs the questions: who is paying him/who is he paying and who places the coins and fuel?
He appears to like listening to the radio as most of his vehicles have giant antenna
He can breathe in space and has a resistance to nuclear radiation
He lives in a 2D realm

Origin of Newton Bill:
Not much is known about the origins of Newton Bill nor why he covets the ultimate achievement of Hill Climb Racing Master. All that is known is that he started with only four stages (the Countryside, the Desert, the Arctic and the Moon), only a handful of vehicles (if anyone knows the original vehicles then I would greatly appreciate a comment!) and a dream. In terms of in-game beginnings, Newton Bill starts with the Jeep, the Countryside, no money, a knowledge of stunts and tricks and a huge selection of locked content, only unlockable by throwing mountains of, thankfully in-game, cash at them.

Evolution of Newton Bill:
Overtime, Newton Bill has gained many, many more vehicles and driven through many, many more environments, completed many, many more tricks, broken many, many more necks whilst earning/spending many, many mountains of cash. He's been to new planets, gone back to boot camp and visited the end of the world. He's driven Tourist Buses, Moonlanders and the Finger Screw (designed by fan Yura Vereshchak). He... still hasn't gotten a roof/rollcage. We've seen his neck break thousands of times. We've seen the rest of his body besides his head and arms. We've laughed. We've cried. We've thanked Fingersoft for continuing to update the game and not force a paywall on us (seriously, thank you!). We've been there every step of the way along Newton Bill's epic journey to become the best Hill Climb Racer ever and I'm sure we'll continue to follow his journey into the future (perhaps literally if the stages continue to stay as bonkers as they are now). Perhaps he'll finally achieve his dream, park his vehicles and get a neck brace but that day is not today. Today we celebrate his achievements with this, the most prestigious award in all of GamesAppsAndReviews-ingdom - the Video Game Character of the Month Award!

Games:
Hill Climb Racing: released (World Wide) in September 2012 on Android/on November 9th, 2012 on iOS/on October 21st, 2013 on Windows 8/on November 27th, 2013 on Windows Phone/on June 29th, 2016 on Windows 10

Well, that's all on Newton Bill but, as always, if I've missed something/made a mistake then please don't hesitate to comment! Also, if you have a suggestion for a future winner of the prestigious VGCOTM award then please comment that as well! And now I think I'll let Newton Bill get back to racing up some more hills.

Goodbye for now, Harry
